Let me just say that I understand _why_ you think it was a mistake. And, in circumstances other than the one you were in, it _would_ have been.
To dump someone who genuinely cares about you, wants to see you, is nice to you and is interested in what you think and feel and say _just_ because they want that next intimacy step would be a mistake.
But breaking up with someone who only wants the physical intimacy without giving you any of the other perks of a 'relationship' is not a mistake. It's a very smart move.
Even though I know it doesn't always feel that way.
