I can't FREAKING believe this!

Dear Fellow Members of the William & Mary Community:

I write concerning the National Collegiate Athletic Association's dispute
with the College over our nickname and logo.

During the past several months, the NCAA has reviewed William & Mary's
athletic insignia to determine whether they constitute a violation of

I do not find "Tribe" offensive, or words like "Braves" or "Indians". Logos may be a different story. The Washington NFL logo is not bad but the name REDSKINS obviously is but it will never change.

In Cleveland, they still use the Chief Wahoo logo on their hats etc, but they compromised by having a dinosaur-type mascot for children.

If Nittany Lions ever gets challenged, then I really will be pissed!

That's the whole point. Tribe isn't offensive, after an appeal. But a FEATHER? Our logo is a freaking feather. I wish I was an attorney, I would take the lawsuit pro bono.
