You made me feel good so I hopped over for a visit *waves hello*
I am not a big Ten fan so I wish I could have read that scene like that The only saving grace was that he was "Nine"
Unfortunately I'm pretty sure the self centred one was referring him to himself - when she first met him - post TPotW *grinds teeth*. And worse? Using it to excuse all his schizoid behaviour to the viewing public.
"I'm a nut job but I have an excuse - I was born in battle so you can't expect me to be fully sane..."

OTOH if that's the case it could be that we see him actually written more coherently next season.

Hello, and welcome!

Yeah. Sigh. I think I was numb while watching (which is when I wrote this) because I had heard all the spoilers and thought they were such rubbish, I couldn't believe they were actually going through with it. But the more I thought about it, and the way it all worked out, I became increasingly angry, and even squicked ( ... )

I lived through Six - I can live through Ten *sighs* yes I really am that old...

Ten was instantly went the head of my OMG I'm not going to like you list when he RAN in Tooth and Claw and did so *just* to save himself...

I am so character lead it is unbelievable - I genuinely don't look at DT and see cute or otherwise when he is onscreen. I look to see the character. This is also why I spend most of the Torchwood season bitching about the writers. Who is my show in an entirely different way - for Who I just try to hang on for the ride and then bitch and whine later (sometimes well away from lj)

Me, too. Although I kind of remember liking Six (I haven't watched any of his episodes in years). I think the main difference is that Six knew he was an ass. Ten thinks he's God. I think, too, that the thing that bothers me most about Ten is that the show thinks he's wonderful. I was cheering when Davros pointed out all his hypocrisy, and what did he do? He pushed all the responsibility for the genocide off onto Hand!Ten and dumped him off in another universe (the more I think about it, the more it seems like Ten dumped both Hand!Ten and Rose off so he couldn't have to bother with them anymore.)

I look to see the character.

Oh, me, too. (Now, I admit, I gravitate toward actors who can make me feel that on a consistent basis.) Characterization can pull me through a lot of bad plotting. With Ten, for me, there's a fatal collision of a character I don't like with an actor I find very difficult to watch, technically. I think I could take one at a time - ( ... )
