Summer plans

Jonathan, Gavriel and I will be in New Jersey this summer, from August 6th until September 9th. I'm looking for suggestions on fun things to do. We're thinking of borrowing his grandparents car and taking a few day trip somewhere, but we're not sure where. Anyone know of any interesting fairs or festivals going on on the east coast in August
