why do people remove their fics after becoming published? its not like they can legally publish the fanfics.... :(

I'm not sure, but it's annoying. I found Underwater Light by chance, but it's nowhere to be found online. I remember reading great H/D back in the day, but now everything I find is out of character or AU or just has bad writing. I especially hate the OOC stuff, it makes me so annoyed. What's the point of the characters if they're not who they're supposed to be? It may as well be original fiction, and it's boring.
At least there's always Shoebox.

i should have copied all my favorite stories to my computer when i had a chance, eh? i did that with one story, only.
all the bad writing IS ooc anyway. i mean, not completely, but there are a lot of stories that you can tell are just the author retelling their own stories with changed names. when done well, fine. when done more transparently.... just. ugh. sigh.
