It was the running joke at my brother's working place where he used to work mostly with another German and a (good-natured) Dutchie who had to bear the brunt of their anti-Dutch jokes. *g*

Almost - Lente is the Dutch word for spring. (In Germany there's a similar word for spring, Lenz, but it's very old-fashioned. But you can see that there's a certain similarity between both languages.)
