[This post is from a week ago. Reposted because it didn't show up on LJ. Fail.]
But, really, there's just one reason I'm posting this:
Y'know, that German gay movie 'Freier Fall'? I finally watched it tonight, and I've just got this to say:
Malte from Sommersturm has grown up. And howBecause, damn it, even without subtitles and just relying on

But yeah, I read a lot of reviews beforehand - the bullying cop? Or the homophobic mother? And others, probably - I felt like the focus was on the two guys and the wife, making them shine, and the others just fell by the wayside, just there to move the plot forward. A bit like a 'Kammerspiel', you know?
Which occasion was that, pray tell? *is curious* Lipreading was shite in this movie, that's why I'm so fervently waiting for the DVD.
[Yeah, I felt like some closure might have been good, but like this - OMG LET THE FANFIC (HAHA AS IF THERE WILL BE ANY...) COMMENCE! Like, Marc is running towards his final decision, and okay, a not so little part of me is going all, "YIS he'll search for Kay and then they'll live happily ever after...", hehe ( ... )

*LOL* I thought the same, too! But then, asking her to get pregnant would be a tad bit too much... that said, did you see the movie 'Romeos'? About transgender Lukas who falls in love with Fabio? Also a pretty good German movie, and the guy who plays Lukas (who was Miriam - if I remember rightly - before) had fake breasts under the shower, and I was all o.O at how real they looked...
*g* Funny that the actress actually did come out as lesbian some time ago, no? But yeah, that's pretty short-sighted, also... lazy script writing, eh?
Yeah, I wondered about that... Hm. I mean, he didn't fake the love for his girlfriend at all, so. I'll have to wait for the subtitled DVD then to catch every last word! ;-)

I saw it quite a while ago with a friend, in a packed theater no less. And Christ on a cracker, they really are off the charts, chemistry-wise. So yeah, it was HOT. Ahem.
To be fair: You didn't miss that much dialogue, because especially Marc just doesn't talk very much. It's all repressed emotions and angry grunting, and inability to talk about one's feelings.
That's why one of my favorites scenes is the one where he comes to Kay's appartment, all angry, and they yell at each other, and then Marc pretty much breaks down in Kay's arms. Kay tells him "I love you" in that scene.
Leaving the theater, my friend's first comment was "Max Riemelt ist schon sehr schön", weil mine was "Mir tut mein Herz ein bisschen weh". And in my head, there's a sequel where they meet again and everything works out and gah.
So yeah, definitely buying the DVD. As if that was up for discussion..

The chemistry was so HOT, they should have handed out asbestos suits at the entrance...
*LOL* Yeah, a lot of internalization and stoic manly hurty feelings... well, at least that lends itself well to all kinds of fascinating inner dialogue in fanfic, no?

Awwwwwwwwwwww! Damn, now I wonder if I should watch it a second time... but I guess the movie has finished its run at the movies.

You, me and everyone on here!!! YIS. You know the 'Before Sunset/Sunrise/Midnight' series? I've never watched it (must do so soon), but I would love it if they could pull something similar. Maybe after 'Freier Fall' there could be 'Freier Halt' or whatever else. Awesome idea, y/y??? :-D
