The house has been sold. I spent the weekend in Maryland removing the rest of the furniture and taking it to storage, and then another 3 hours packing up the little things (bedding, towels, some remaining dishes, etc) and cleaning. Mortgage companies frustrate me...
So, I am 3 months behind on the mortgage. I couldn't make the payments myself, and he stopped contributing back in November. I talked to the mortgage company last month and explained the situation, and they were very nice and notated the account. Now that we have a contract, I called them and asked them if they would be willing to accept one ( Read more... ) -
House Update
The contract has been ratified. I'm just waiting to receive a copy.
The inspection is scheduled for Saturday morning. If everything goes well with that, then we'll be moving in the right direction.

We've now reduced the price of the house by $20k (from our original asking price - which was already $20k less than we bought if for). We got our first offer, but it was for $10k less than what we are now listed for and they wanted an ass-load of closing help ( Read more... ) -
This weekend...
This weekend should be interesting. I'm either going to go up to Maryland so I can be there for when my new niece is born, or I'm going to Tennessee to meet his daughter for the first time. Either way, this weekend will involve meeting someone for the first time ( Read more... ) -

Mmmmm... Ebelskivers!
I just finished making a batch of Ebelskivers (although I didn't fill them with anything). Soooo yummy.
I got the pan as a somewhat early Christmas present (I had to go buy it because it was 50% off and he was working that day and couldn't get it for me). Next time I'll try filling them since I think I've gotten the "technique" down enough. -
