The TARDIS, in the Time-Space Vortex [NFB Due to, well, distance for one]

May 14, 2007 18:04

The Doctor tossed a ball up and down as he fiddled with the TARDIS controls.

"So, Nadia Santos, trip one is done. What did you think?"

"I think for all that they're more people shaped now? Cats have not changed much at all."

"How d'you reckon?" The Doctor asked, intrigued.

"Have you ever spent much time around a house cat? Their primary goal in life is to make themselves look good. There's never a whole lot of consideration for the other life forms around them if things are going their way. So, cats grow up, get opposable thumbs, and, sure, they have this whole thing of saving people by coming up with amazing cures for diseases, but to do it, they breed test subjects and the final result of it all, along with curing people, is that they look really damned good in the process."

"Very good observation," the Doctor said. "But then again, you had an example of that same vanity in the last human, as well."
