That last line is perfect. Creepy and understated and just, just right.

On the show itself, the Knights of Byzantium were never anything more than a really cheesy bunch of RenFaire reject plot devices to me, but the way you portray them in this story, the way they become "those slippery tattooed fanatics, waving a sword in Heaven's name and happy to chop a little girl in two" under an aged Dawn's watchful gaze, is stunning. Very well done!
