The thing is that I find it hard to concentrate on reading during these times. Which pains me the most. It always worked for me, too =(

Exercise works for me. If my mind starts racing while I'm on the treadmill or jogging, I just count my steps and my mind is blank to everything else!

Sleep, immediately preceded by a daydream about going to sleep. That occupies my imagination with any intrusion dismissed accordingly.

Not recommended at the workplace. Or while driving.

Munich sounds a lot colder than Hamburg. Glad you're not there too *g*
