[The device's video broadcast is turned on by dark skinned hands, delicate and questing as they try to decipher the use of it, try to understand how it works, what it is for. (She has seen hundreds of years, and never anything like this.)

It reveals a woman, clothes ripped and bloodied, hair in disarray, eyes mostly blank save for the hint of ( Read more... )

[That voice. Her head turns sharply, back to that odd device she'd left on the ground beside her, hands snatching it up more than suddenly.

There- on the screen...

(Impossible, it should have been impossible. But he wasn't within her anymore. So-)]

[Right now- she is confused. It's too early for this, she hasn't prepared his new body, yet there he is.

The easiest thing to do-]

[A maid? A very bloody maid who is not all that injured, perhaps, but just in case-]

There is a hospital nearby should you require it, miss.

[She won't need it- but her act requires it, doesn't it.]

... if you would, sir. The directions to the hospital.

[God that image of her hand in her mouth is. Still. Kind of haunting. BUT LIKE A POLITE JAPANESE MAN HE WILL NOT MENTION IT.]

Perhaps a direct escort would be easier?

[Sorrow got out there as fast as he could, once he saw the blood. Now, as he sprints toward her, he remembers the face. The eye. It reminds him of his own, the shot-out eye that was replaced when he died, and now he doesn't sense the usual living spirit within her...

His footsteps are perfectly silent even though he's running, and when he skids to a stop, he slides over the rocks so that they make no noise at all. Thrusting his white hair off his forehead, he takes two quick recovery breaths and kneels next to her.]

Miss. You seem to need medical attention...here, let me help you.

[She is no human, and her senses are not akin to one, and though she does not hear him coming with ears, she does not seem surprised at all when he skids to a stop in front of her.

The sheer amount of blood, half-dried, obscures whether wounds may lie beneath or not, and she is as of yet undecided. To continue the act... or lie.]

... Sir.

[But doesn't address the rest, just yet.]

[He reaches out to her, tries to gently take her by one arm, lead her into an assisting hold. She had already demonstrated that her spine was unharmed, and as such he could pick her up and carry her.]

I'll help you get to the hospital. You've lost a lot of blood. Can you tell me your name?

[She allows him to hold her only to the point that she stands on her own two feet, but then she moves- only slightly, as if to pull away, her gaze averted and moving to make sure the bandage over her left eye stays in place.]

I apologize for worrying you... it is not my blood.

[A lie- but not one that could be proven. After all, upon inspection there would be no wound beneath to prove it hers.]

... Hannah.
