Look both ways . . .

Okay, this is me making a concerted effort to be less quiet.

Anyway, I finally got out to see Lord of the Rings 3. Yes, "3." Doug and I went at 10:30pm last night and got out somewhere around 2am. All in all, it was a pretty good movie, though the end (the real ending, not one of the many places it could have ended) was kind of odd what with ( Read more... )

Here's an ethical dilemma for you: if the driver had left the meter running while dealing with the cop, would you have reached into the front and turned it off?

Doesn't each course of action involve a certain degree of wrong? Is there a correct answer at all? Aren't all our lives full of these little quandaries? These are all things to think about and reflect upon on a quiet Sunday evening.

Okay, well, I know you're just being all silly, but:
1. The driver turned it off anyway when we pulled over.
2. The cop told him to turn it off.
3. I would have told him and not reached, because reaching is bad manners.

These are all things to think about and reflect upon on a quiet Sunday evening.

So you're bored, too?
Don't you have an exam for which to study? :-P

I was trying to get you to say you hated me. Didn't work. :( I did actually kind of wonder if the meter can still run when the car isn't running - although he could have left the car running, too.

Um, exam, yeah... I did a lot less studying today than usual, because it was a rough week at work, and this upcoming week will be rough too, and I felt I deserved a break. I did study somewhat, though. Spent most of the afternoon watching football, but they're in halftime of the second game right now.

Were those rhetorical questions? Oh well.

Remind me not to take a cab with you. You are bad luck.

I still haven't seen LoR3 myself. I must go next weekend or later this week or... or... something.

I'm not bad luck, it was just a special night. Then Doug and I came back here and made tea. It was tealicious. It looked an even deeper colour than usual, as the water was already brown coming out of the tap.

Re: LotR3: It's a good movie, but I dare you not to break out laughing at the end when everyone else is.

That is a dare that I will take. Unless there is something that you are deliberately withholding, it doesn't seem like much of a dare. *looks meaningfuly and suspiciously in your general directions*

I dunno. It was okay for the first bit, but it went on for so long in crossed the line into the bizarre. I think it was the point where Gandalf started laughing.

Yeah, there's a spolier - Gandalf laughs.

Clearly she's not feeding you as well as she does when company comes over - but you don't have to spit out the food.

We all know you were the one who puked all over the car.

Your water is brown? MOVE OUT OF THAT BUILDING. No power. No water. When there is water it is brown. What's next, pestilence?

Maybe it was me that puked in the cab on account of all the wild homosexual hobbit love that almost happened. I must've blocked it out. Though, strangely, I haven't blocked out the actual scenes.

The water gets discoloured if you don't use a faucet for a while, yeah. Eh. It'd take so much effort to move again. Pestilence? Yeah. . . . I think I hear locusts.
