All this bullshit don't matter for squat anymore. As a Canadian politician, you could burn the American flag and leave a burning bag of shit at the doorstep of the Whitehouse and it would not count for squat. If there is one thing above all else that defines the Canada-US relationship and that is trade. And the good thing about trade is, governments and politicians don't trade with each other, private companies do. With the strength of the private business lobby in either country and the billions in trade crossing the border daily, no amount of posturing is ever going to affect the only relationship we have with America that matters, and that is being our #1 trading partner.
