Oh man, phew. My mid-terms are finally over! But I made a few so-careless-I-should-totally-bang-the-wall mistakes. Bleah. :\

Wanna know something funny? For my test today, my lecturer actually set the test with some wrong values. It would have been okay if he didn't wait until the last 5 minutes of the paper and say very cryptically that if we get ( Read more... )

Good to see the "I am alive" flag Ning. :D School sounds like rather a PITA lol, but at least mid terms are over, right? Yah for that!

You’re not the first to say tests went bad, and they found they did really good! So hopefully you will too.

Hahaha, you're the first person I've ever seen using the PITA acronym, but luckily, there's the urban dictionary! ;D

Oh, all the lecturers posted the answers online on the same day the tests were done, so I know how well I did. *sheepish* It's okay though, I didn't fail anything and I didn't really do badly, just... hmph, I knew how to do the questions and I gave my marks away myself. *grumble grumble* :P

Aaaw, don't give up. ENVS labs are kicking my butt (I want to drop-kick whoever wrote Microsoft Excel, and also whoever decided that 2008 would be the freaking difficult to handle version,) but good luck to you. That lab sounds fun, at least!

PS. Presentations... been there, done that. Scarlet Letter was so easy to make up stuff for, though. That or my teacher was easily impressed.

Oh, I almost forgot: rule of thumb for math tests is that if you finished and had time to check your work, you usually did 5 - 10 points better than you thought you did. Especially if the teacher is willing to give partial credit when you show your work.

Omg yes! Ever since Microsoft Office changed their layout, I've been having trouble finding all the functions! XD Especially for when using PowerPoint (but it's well compensated with all the cool slide designs, so it's all good ^^). That lab was fun, and we (we're in groups of 4) were really proud when we finally completed our "I" beam, hehe.

Haha, it was an environmental engineering module's test actually, but it sure did involve a lot of numbers and equations. :P The answers were already out on the same day, so I know how well I did. And I sure hope partial credit is given! :D

Hang in there Ning. :) Lab reports are no fun. I'm taking physics lab right now, and considering I'm no good at physics, these labs are a big pain.

I totally understand making stupid mistakes on tests. I made two little stupid mistakes on my last physics test that cost me a whole letter grade.

Thanks, Danielle! ^^ (You are pretty busy with school too, right? Good luck and all the best!) Haha, science labs are kinda boring to me (I had chemistry and physics labs in my first semester last year) because they're always out to test/prove some equation that has already been proven. But at least they aren't hard. :)

Oh man, I make careless mistakes ALL THE TIME, throughout my schooling life since young. XD But I've never been concerned with my grades until the recent years. :P

Everybody's got the lab report blues...
Well, mine's done, so now for position papers. And foreign language papers. (Sorry Ning, it's Spanish, so it's probably not very useful where you live... then again it just might be.)

Very late reply, but then again, my reactions have always been slower. :P I've actually got friends taking up Spanish classes just for fun. Some others take it so that they can go to Spanish-speaking countries during their student exchange too. ;)

Position papers sound gross. Like a lab report X 10. :S I hope you're doing fine on that one, haha. Go, Scribal! ^^

Well, I get papers for everything but latin, but latin is a 101. It's homecoming here, so of course my Heritage (Philosophy/Literature) professor assigned a reading from Plato and a 3 page paper. :( Spanish is ok, because we just had a test, and I've written up my week's lab already. (It was outside! Yay!)
