It's been a shitty day, to say the least. I haven't had health insurance for 6 years and so far I haven't needed it. But now, I have a very suspicious mole on my leg that my mom's doctor looked at for me during her lunch hour. She's concerned that it's skin cancer and wants me to get it removed as soon as possible, which so do I.

Oh honey, I'm so sorry. I know how you feel about trips being planned out an priorities having to change because that's what I went through in 2011, and it's a scary feeling. And I'm livid as always that Kaiser doesn't give you health insurance.

Take it one step at a time, though. Do you have a GP you can ask for a referral?

I'm frustrated kaiser doesn't give me insurance but I get it, I'm on-call, and I'm pretty impressed that at least part time gets insurance, most companies you have to be full time, so that's something

I don't even have a GP. I've never had to go to a dr outside of kaiser before and ive just been super lucky the last few years not getting sick.

Lovelovelove.

Look, I'm not attacking your employer and you don't have to defend them. But I think people should be offered health insurance, even if it's on a different scale than full time employees. You're a full time human being and you need insurance. That's all I'm saying.

And you have not been super lucky because this is not the first time I've been upset you couldn't see a doctor for something. This is the fourth time off the top of my head. It bothers me because I love you and I don't want anything happening to you, whether it's a mole or your neck hurting or possible pneumonia or your mood.

I know, I'm sorry. Just having a bad day and I didn't mean to sound defensive I was more reminding myself that I'm pretty lucky compared to some. But I agree, there should be at least an option of insurance through my company. I was just saying today that I wouldn't mind paying for it as long as it was affordable.

I guess I mean super lucky with no broken bones or surgeries. Because you're right there was walking pneumonia and recently my on going neck/back pain
