I don't know who this is about. But I think it's because if you like someone, even as a friend, you can't stop liking them right away. It takes time to actually dislike someone if you were good friends with them.

Hey bud, I gotta tell you that everythig you are saying right now is exactly what I have been telling myself for the past month. Go ahead and read my journal if you don't believe me. I know everyone is going to tell you it'll get better because it's what everyone has been telling me and if you and I are going through the same thing right now then I know you aren't going to believe them. But the one thing you got to remeber is that if you don't keep telling you're self that things will get better you'll never get out of this slump. So even if you don't believe it, just tell yourself that things are getting better everyday.
