Come Inside my head - It's nto that bad.... Honest

Dec 10, 2008 11:07

So:
I am sitting around on a dull, grey day in the middle of one of the largest metropolis in the world with a mobile phone full of contacts, a MSN buddy list full of friends feeling completely alone and isolated.

And guess what.
It's not just me.
You were too.

You exist on it in a kind of Quantum state where you don't want to do, but would rather not not do, but won't actually discover until you try which you can't.

You are sick of sitting around on your own as well, but don't want to do "something". You would actually like to carry on doing nothing. Watching TV, reading a book, paling Warcrack, lying on your back staring at the roof...Whatever I know from experience it's very fucking hard to put the effort in to make any kind of social contact - it's easier just to sit around being depressed.

Just not doing it on your own, as the accessibility and emotional comfort caused by limited, non-invasive social contact is a hell of a lot better than sitting around, though it may have great impact on the sales of bad emo music.

But how can you organise this?

I have had an idea, but it's very embryonic.

It's a kind of twitter thing, but different i guess. Could just use twitter but I'd prefer to custom one from scratch.

Another option is :
http://www.emadibrahim.com/2008/04/11/yonkly-open-source-twitter/ (I aim to put have a lot more black on the page - and maybe some cobwebs.. and gothik writing.)

Unfortunately whilst i can probably provide the soft and hard parts of a platform to run it, along with "infinite free bandwidth", i can't write proper code for shit.

Are you - or do you know, a competent and capable web/PHP or asp.net/MVC coders to help out with an embryonic idea which "Might Just Work" ?

Email me or something at mc_114@hotmail.com or grab me on msn.. hell just turn up - you know where i live. I’m going to work on this a bit this week and the weekend and braindump you when i get back from Sweden.
