I committed Star Trek fic. I blame ladyblahblah

This is mostly just for me, so if I ever wonder if I really did have a short psychotic break that resulted in me posting a fic-snippet in a comment thread I will have proof that yes, apparently I did. Oops. So.

In which Spock isn't jealous in the slightest. )

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Just you wait, I will wear you down on this whole writing thing. I am now considering it my official duty to fandom to do so.

If we were, it would probably be breaking some sort of code of silence to admit it.

Not that I'm confirming.

Or denying.

(You should write more.)

Apparently I already did. I really think I must've accidentally swallowed some drugs sometime in the past 24 hours, because this is not normal for me.

Haha, thank you! I wrote it about about one-thirty in the morning when ladyblahblah posted a question on the kirkspock community and it somehow turned into me trying to write Spock!voice for a reason that I'm sure was compelling at the time. I'm glad you enjoyed it, anyway, even if it was supposed to be a drabble.

Okay this is just plain amazing. Rationalize harder, Spock! :D

Spock is merely reacting to a breach of protocol by an inexperienced captain. It stands to reason that as Kirk was unable to gain knowledge by observation of superior officers while rising through the ranks, he would require an unbiased presence to act as counterbalance, and perhaps apply some gentle correction when a nuance of approved Federation diplomacy is misinterpreted.

This requires no rationalization, it is simple logic. It also has nothing to do with jealousy, possessiveness, or an entirely unprofessional interest in being the one to... correct... the Captain.

Of course, my mistake. I suppose I'm just too emotional to see it that way.

Please document any and all corrections that are involved, in as graphic a detail as deemed necessary. :D

In case you hadn't noticed, I find Spock's voice to be entirely too much fun to play with. XD

And if Spock decides to share the details of his entirely professional correctional efforts with me, I will most definitely pass them along.

Ok, this is really, really great! I have absolutely no idea why you have not written before. :D

And everyone knows that the Kirk-seducing comes later on; it is the only logical solution that Spock will find ;)

You read my mind. This is actually exactly what Spock is going to decide at some point, because if the Captain can't repress his sexual urges effectively, it is only logical to redirect them to a more appropriate figure.

Personally, I like your loose interpretations.
