Episode 3 - Change
Idly sitting on a tree branch with Fuu-chan in his lap, Sasuke sits, musing about what's occured as of late.
Sasuke: It's a sunny day, isn't it? Warm, bright...
Sasuke: ... Annoying.
Fuu-chan: >:
Sasuke: So you like the sun, Fuu-chan?
Fuu-chan: *jumps onto Sasuke's hand and sits there, unblinking*
Sasuke: ... So you've become unresponsive, too. *frowns, and idly pats Fuu-chan's head with one finger*
Sasuke: ... ... Fuu-chan?
Fuu-chan: ... ... ... ...
Sasuke: ... *sigh* You're changing, too. *tilts his head to one side, showing a bit of emotion today*
Sasuke: Everyone in this stupid place is changing... *glances up at the tree branches in thought* ... But I won't. I don't want to.
Fuu-chan: ... ...
Sasuke: *continues idly petting Fuu-chan while speaking* No... I'm not angry at change. Couldn't even care less about it. People can change for the better, see?
Sasuke: Futch did. Now? I'm not bothered by his annoying antics anymore...
Fuu-chan: ...
Sasuke: *sigh* ... How can someone forget about another person so fast? I still haven't forgotten about Kasumi and...
Sasuke: But then again, the way I am... I guess I'm easily forgotten, by my best friend even.
Sasuke: It isn't a complaint. Just a thought.
Fuu-chan: *soft croak*
Sasuke: ... Oh, so you're talking to me again?
Fuu-chan: ... ... ...
Sasuke: ... Hn... Eh, well... It doesn't matter whether you're talking to me or not.
Sasuke: I just... wish people didn't change. It's more difficult to understand a person when they change. Difficult to stay close to them, too...
Fuu-chan: ... >:
Sasuke: ... Yeah, so I've grown soft. I need to do something about that.
Fuu-chan: *ribbit*
Sasuke: *blinks down at Fuu-chan, in mild surprise* ... Heh... Don't worry, Fuu-chan. I won't forget about you. *scoops the little frog up in his hands, holding it right up close in front of his face* ... Promise.
Fuu-chan: *ribrib~*
Sasuke: ... Mmm. Well. *tucks Fuu-chan securely in the folds of his scarf* Let's just go get that yukata, okay? I might as well make Nanami happy... After all, she's just about the only one who's attitude hasn't changed towards me...
Sasuke: *small laugh* Along with Mamie, Cecile and Viki... *jumps down from the branch, and before he hits the ground, vanishes*
