[Where was he? Where were his sons? Splinter woke up in a strange place with strange smells wearing strange white pants. It wasn't home. It wasn't Northampton ( Read more... )

[Usually Vash is pretty good at noticing when he's being watched, what with the above average senses, but seeing as Master Splinter is a MASTER and not giving off a: I want to shoot you for what your head can bring me vibe, he passes right under Vash's radar.

Besides, he's a little busy right now. Talking... to... the ground...]

Aw, come on. I walked all the way from the village to check on you guys! Aren't you growing yet? Pretty, please? Won't you grow for me? Even just a little bit. Come oooon! Pleaaaaaase?

[Someone is a little impatient for his flowers to start to grow back. Splinter is welcome to pick up on the fact that Vash has a gun strapped to his hip under his big red coat.]

[And in his search for his sons, Splinter finds himself watching a man talk to the ground. It takes him a moment to realize that he is not quite talking to the ground, but to the plants within it.

The gun, however, he notices immediately. Just because the man is fond of flowers does not mean he won't become incredibly dangerous if he sees him. Splinter remains hidden.

And watches.]

BTW just so you know I'm totally cool if this is a short thread. Vash is being duller than I thought goldenglasses March 11 2011, 01:30:59 UTC
[After a little more pleading and are those... tears? Vash finally gives up.]

Oh well, I guess you'll grow when you're ready. You are okay down there, aren't you, little friends? [He shivers a little.] It's getting a little cold now, so I have to go back to the village, but you guys work on growing while I'm gone. [He turns and throws a wave over his shoulder at the patch of ground.] See ya.

[He moves toward the direction of Luceti, then pauses. He takes a brief look around. It seemed like something... no, it was alright. Knives is gone for now and Legato has been quiet. He's just a little too stressed out still from his brother's sudden arrival. So he hurries along again, talking out loud to himself.]

Oh man... Meryl will chew my head off if I get myself sick staying out here so long. And Wolfwood... I'll never hear the end of it! [He grins.] So maybe I better stop by Seventh Heaven for some soup before I go home~

LOL, no problem. There is always time later! ninjacane March 11 2011, 02:00:58 UTC
[Splinter freezes completely when the man almost seems to catch him, but relaxes when he doesn't. A silent sigh. This one was a handful, wasn't he?

For a moment, he almost smiled.

Names and the promise of food. Splinter decides to follow him as long as he can. An accidental guide.

Well, this wasn't the first time.]

XD I just thought it would be fun as Splinter will be one of the few who can get past his senses goldenglasses March 11 2011, 02:24:50 UTC
[Vash stops every now and then on his way back. There's something... something he just can't place. He checks his pockets to be sure he hasn't forgotten something. It never feels like danger though so he doesn't worry about it too much.

Maybe he left the stove on at home?

Either way it's forgotten as he gets to the edge of the village and food grows more and more on his mind.] I really hope Sanji is still there! Maybe I can talk him into making me some donuts~~ AHHH! I'm drooling just thinking about it!

[And he starts to walk faster towards the restaurant. Foooooooooooooooooooooood.]

Well, he IS Master Splinter. And I was hoping to have at least one thread like this! XD ninjacane March 11 2011, 02:45:53 UTC
[The man is observant, but it is the fact that Splinter is not planning on attacking that saves him from being detected by Vash. He prefers to watch, to observe. No matter how friendly humans are to each other, humans can still immediately turn on things that are strange. This man could turn out to hate those like Splinter.

But he does remind Splinter of Mikey, just a little. It seems like this human may be a bottomless vacuum type.]

Yay! Happy to help! goldenglasses March 11 2011, 03:03:18 UTC
[Vash is indeed a bottomless vacuum type who would rather play games and knock off work type. Although he gets a little sidetracked on his way to the restaurant and suddenly stops and pulls a book out of his pocket. A female voice echos out of it. Apparently asking him to pick up some milk and cat food on his way back.]

Aw... do I have to? Didn't I just pick up milk the other day? It can wait can't-No!No!No!No!No! I want dinner tonight! Aw! Come on! You don't have to give the cat my share! I'll pick up her food and milk, honest I will.

...tell Wolfwood I heard that, he can't have my share either.

Eggs too? And bread?! Aw man, I don't want to go grocery shopping, that's no-I-I-I I mean! I'm right on it, ma'am! Right away! You can count on me! In some parts of the land I'm known as the great grocery shopping bandit! I'll bring it all home and I won't break a single egg ( ... )

8D Happy to be helped. ninjacane March 12 2011, 00:44:38 UTC
[This is amusing. He's heard of some women being very good at controlling men, and the one he is speaking to seems to be just that type. Or perhaps Vash just enjoys it. Although Splinter cannot remember the term for that.

Unfortunately, he can tell that they are getting nearer to the center of town. He will not be able to use Vash as a guide for much longer.]

YAY for everyone~! goldenglasses March 12 2011, 04:59:43 UTC
[He grumbles a little bit about getting groceries, but really, that big, goofy grin doesn't leave his face and soon he's whistling a happy tune to himself.

And yes, sadly, Vash does eventually make it to Seventh Heaven. Of course if Splinter decides to hang around for a bit, Vash will eventually have to exit and get those evil groceries.]

Yaaaay! ninjacane March 12 2011, 19:07:57 UTC
[Splinter does not follow him beyond that, unfortunately. It's too close to civilization during the daylight for Splinter to risk it.

He did have fun stalking you, though, unknowing guide!]

[It's a pity, but fun times will be had again eventually! As he's already nearly gotten punched in the face by Raph once and has started to make friends with Mikey!]

[Yes, a fun time will eventually be had by all! And, really, neither of those things would surprise Splinter in the least.]
