I was typing an explaination for Itachi then I kept reading your application and I deleted my whole vote, I was debating between Itachi, Pein and Konan but I think I'd stick with Pein - you're someone who is independent, rather venomous, tend to have emotional outburts (more so than Pein), introspective and profound (able to think deeply and write poetry), critical of others (Pein was always critical about other's perception of the world), he can be a rather good listener (he did listened to Naruto rant). The fact that you said Fame is your goal but you want to stand by your views and be respected by others remind me alot of Pein - Pein already achieved "fame" but he is still standing by his own beliefs and views and he is greatly respected by his village people. I can envision him as the self-destructive type too. As for your traits - just like him, you are cold, brooding, bitter, confrontational, malicious, secretive (I don't think any of his Akatsuki mates know much about him other

I don't know too much about the Akatsuki, but I saw Itachi. Calm yet easily upset, hostile, unstable, selfish, independant, sharp....so many traits!

I can see a lot of Itachi and Konan as well, but I think I'm going to go with Pein in the end -- your more independent, risk-taking and bold nature made me think of him more, although I can see Itachi too in how you ordered "Wouldn't you like to know?" as the number 1 reason for being a villain, and how you'd use the Akatsuki as your only choice to achieve your goals. I think Pein could be described much better as unstable and obsessive though, especially in comparison to Itachi -- not that he's that unstable or obsessive either, but compared to Itachi and Pein ... yeah. I'd say your adjectives you used to describe yourself fit him very well!

Honestly, there was always something that reminded me somewhat of the awesome Pein when reading your application. Maybe, like it was said before, it's your bold personality. You know what you can do and you're confident in yourself which is very much like him. I mean come on, he wasn't defeated even once before he attacked Konoha, he does have a confidence in himself which isn't all empty and only talking... if that makes any sense. He doesn't strike me like the type to get emotional but... You also said you're critical to yourself and to others yet understanding which is very much like Pein. He might be the leader of Akatsuki and while he can think highly of himself, I still thought he understands and treats other Akatsuki members with at least some respect. Independent, risk-taking, bold, assertive, sharp, cold, brooding, bitter -- it all reminds me of him. Just like you he's also mature, idealistic about the future, introverted, hard-working. I see some Itachi in you, and even a bit of Deidara at some points, but overall it has to be Pein :) Your personality description sounded quite a lot like him to me, as you're a very independent individual like Pein is, you can be quite venomous to the ones who push your buttons, he's a deep person like you are, and he, too, can be brooding and melodramatic at times. You want to always stand by your views, your reasons for disliking Kabuto and Orochimaru definitely sound like something Pein would say, and the words you checked with an "O" remind me of him, too! You would like to become a villain to change the world, and the one reason you placed first works quite well for Pein as well, as we didn't know his intentions or himself for quite a while.
