Name: Brinn
Do you have a gender preference for this theme?: Male, but if a chick turns out to be my soulmate, so be it.
What character were you stamped as in the regular application for
ninjafy and do you agree with that stamp?: Future!Temari. Yeah. Yeah.
Please post the links to three applications you've voted on recently:
1.
X2.
X3.
X Likes: Coffee and Chinese food (just not at the same time), being a music snob, poetry anthologies, new pens, autumn when the leaves make that wonderful crunching sound when you step on them, blankets
Dislikes: Humidity, damp clothes, sharks (I have a phobia), when people change tenses in the middle of a paragraph, predictable movie/book plots, calculus.
What do you feel is your best quality?: I’m very honest, which can occasionally leave a few bruised egos, but I never intentionally mean to hurt anyone, so I try to word things gently that are harder to hear. I say what I do in an effort to help - it’s all from the heart<3. I’m told that I give Good Advice, and thus, I often end up playing therapist with my friends. I take that trust they put in my very seriously, and I try to do everything I can to give advice that’s worthy of their consideration. Also, you totally want me on your team for trivia games. I’m ruthless.
Your worst?: I assume I know best, and when it’s proven that I don’t I tend to sulk. I’m also a completely hopeless procrastinator. Hopeless.
You’d Prefer a Partner Who is More...
Mature or Immature?: Mature, but at the same time, someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously, and can then remind me to lighten the hell up when the occasion calls for it.
Leader or Follower?: I think someone who, like me, is capable of being a leader, but would rather defer doing so to someone else if possible.
Optimistic or Pessimistic?: Optimist. I need someone to remind me to look at the big picture, not just the fact that I overslept/caught my toe in the door/ran over someone’s pet/etc.
Impulsive or Cautious?: Impulsive, to a certain degree. Sometimes you just need someone to shove you into that pool fully dressed.
Outgoing or Sh?y: Outgoing. I think if I didn’t have someone reminding me that socializing is necessary for brain development, I might just insist we spend the rest of our days on the couch reading mystery novels and watching entire seasons of DVDs in one sitting.
What are some traits that you'd love to see in a perspective partner?: Nice hands, and a shared love of take-out food, domesticity, and stray animals.
What traits would you not like to see in them?: Condescending. I cannot tolerate anyone talking down to me, it makes me want to smack whoever’s talking in the eye.
General Questions about Love, Romance, and All That Jazz:
How would an ideal date for you go?: I think small, live concerts make for awesome dates because they force you both to cut loose and get close to each other without forcing you to stumble around for nervous small talk. Once we were exhausted and sweaty and sorta deaf, we could hit one of those all-night diners that serve breakfast food at all hours and eat waffles and chat until one of us started to pass out in the maple syrup and fruit topping. At some point, someone would be driven home and someone else would receive a sleepy, maple syrup-flavored peck on the lips.
What do you feel is the most important part of any relationship?: Openness about what each person wants - if you just want a fling, you should say so, and if you’re only interested in something long-term you should be up front about it, otherwise you’ll only end up frustrated and confused.
What is your viewpoint on love in general?: It’s hard for me to believe inromantic love - I love my parents and I love my best friends, but being in love strikes me as more of a mixture of hormones and the comfort of what you find familiar. Not that that’s a bad thing. Hormones can be awesome.
What would you say your favorite love song is & why?: “Girl From The North Country” by Bob Dylan.
Is there a character in Naruto that you feel you would NOT get along with in a relationship? If so, why? Naruto - I love the kid, but I’d end up knocking him unconscious within two hours just to get him to shut up for a few minutes.
Anything else?: I’m shameless when it comes to hogging the sheets. If, y’know, that matters.
