A Woman Scarier Than My Own Mother...

Name: Hanakage.

Do you have a gender preference for this theme?: Male, please.

What character were you stamped as in the regular application for ninjafy and do you agree with that stamp?: I was stamped as Future!Ino. I can’t say that I agree with it completely, but I can see where people were coming from.

Please post the links to three applications you've voted on recently:

Likes: Writing, poetry, music, singing, reading, art, spending time with friends, laughing until I cry/can’t breathe, grammar, big words, chocolate, beaches, summer, ice cream, rain, thunderstorms, analyzing things, cats, cities, daydreaming, dsleeping (though I rarely have time to do so nowadays), anime, manga, fanfiction,  flowers, photography, smoothies, yoga, dancing even when I don’t know how, sunsets, nighttime, offbeat humor, sarcasm, being my quirky self.

Dislikes: Ignorance/rudeness/stupidity and people that think such traits are cool/funny, being surrounded by idiots, mediocrity, shallowness, impoliteness, math & science, bad grammar, being forced to be in the vicinity of cigarette smoke, narrow-mindedness, intolerance, excessive physical contact, waking up at 5:30 a.m. and doing schoolwork & homework until 2 a.m., chauvinism, goodbyes.

What do you feel is your best quality? My intelligence and diligence-when something is important to me, I put all of my passion, heart and soul into it.

Your worst?: I tend to bottle all my emotions up and let it all stew, and then lash out at people when my short temper flares.

You’d Prefer a Partner Who is More...

Mature or Immature?: Definitely mature. I’ve been told I’m sixteen going on twenty-six, and I often feel much older/more mature than some of my peers-because of this, I always tend to fall for older guys. But I’d want him to be playful when the time calls for it, as I have an immature streak myself.

Leader or Follower?: Leader. I’m a leader myself, and find capable, driven guys attractive. I want someone on my level-someone who’s neither controlling nor a doormat. Someone willing and able to go against the crowd, and someone I could trust and depend on.

Optimistic or Pessimistic?: I’m quite pessimistic, and think anyone too optimistic would probably annoy me after a while, and vice versa. On the other hand, there would probably be too much doom and gloom with someone too pessimistic. A realist or someone with a similarly pessimistic nature, but who nonetheless tries to have a positive outlook, would probably be best.

Impulsive or Cautious: Cautious. A bit of impulsiveness is good in small doses, but I’d prefer someone who thinks before he acts.

Outgoing or Shy: A mix of both. Someone too obnoxious would grate on my nerves, but I do want someone I could really talk to and have fun with. There is a difference between being shy and being reserved-being reserved at times myself, I like guys who aren’t constantly in everyone’s faces and who are confident enough to leave something to the imagination when it comes to dealing with other people. I am pretty outgoing, though, so I would want someone easygoing and friendly to bring out that side of me more often.

What are some traits that you'd love to see in a prospective partner?: Intelligent, clever, respectful, caring, trustworthy, loyal, mature, thoughtful, observant, ambitious/driven, confident, reliable, won’t mind when I’m running late, good sense of humor (I do enjoy turning something into a sexual innuendo XD), witty, honest, and a bit of mysteriousness/aloofness is always attractive.

What traits would you not like to see in them?: Idiotic, shallow, controlling, pushy, egotistical, self-absorbed, whiny, clingy, naïve, obnoxious, chauvinistic (I can’t stand guys who are too concerned with being “tough” or “macho” to act like a gentleman).

General Questions about Love, Romance, and All That Jazz:

How would an ideal date for you go?: Something simple. As long as I have a real connection with him, it doesn’t matter what we do, as long as we enjoy each other’s company. Dinner and/or a movie, coffee at a café, a concert-all are fine; it’s not necessary to do something extravagant or flashy to have a nice time. Fun, unique dates are the best. (And I’m a hopeless romantic at times, so as clichéd as it is, anything that involves being out under a sunset or a starry sky will turn my heart to absolute mush.)

What do you feel is the most important part of any relationship?: Mutual respect and understanding. Without it, there is no loyalty and trust-and neither person can allow themselves to be vulnerable enough to open their hearts to love.

What is your viewpoint on love in general?: Love is both the most painful and the most beautiful thing in the world-only love has the power to both completely decimate hearts and mend them. Despite any momentary bouts of hopeless romanticism I may entertain, I hold no starry-eyed notions about love. I have had my heart broken-love can really suck, for lack of a more eloquent word. It’s not all candlelit dinners and loving kisses-love is inextricably linked to sorrow, pain, and loss. One of the best descriptions I’ve ever heard of love is from, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful songs of all time, “Hallelujah” (I favor Jeff Buckley’s version, as it is truly breathtaking): And love is not a victory march/It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah. Love is not like it is in fairy tales; it takes work and effort, but when it’s genuine, it’s worth it all of that a thousand times over, and must be cherished like the truly precious thing it is. It can be lost in an instant, so it should always be treasured. To find someone who makes you smile even when you’re angry or sad, who makes you feel more happy and complete and alive than you thought possible, who you would even die for-that is love. I am sometimes the most jaded person in the world, but I do strongly believe in love. In the end, I think that’s all that any of us can do.

What would you say your favorite love song is & why?: Probably “First Day of My Life” by Bright Eyes. It perfectly captures how it feels to realize that you’re in love, and how everything just feels so wonderfully new.

Is there a character in Naruto that you feel you would NOT get along with in a relationship?  If so, why? Shino is too quiet and serious for my tastes, and the bugs would freak me out. Sasuke would probably annoy the hell out of me. And uh, and I’d probably rule out anyone who is evil, or who smokes. XD

Anything else?: Um, I feel like a tool for pointing this out, but it should be “What are some traits that you'd love to see in a prospective partner?”, not “perspective”. Sorry, please don’t shoot me! -hides- I’m the editor of a school publication and a future English major, it’s just what I do! e_____e;

Oh, and if you could in any way elaborate on your vote, it would be very much appreciated. ^_^
