Me~ General Personality Questions
Strengths: Empathetic, quiet, strong, good at listening, intelligent, thoughtful...
Weaknesses: Arrogant, cold, harsh, close-minded at times...
Mature or Immature?: Everyone tells me I'm very mature for my age...
Leader or Follower?: Born leader. I more or less just have to always know if things are running smoothly.
Optimistic or Pessimistic?: I tend to be more pessimistic, and I'm kind of dramatic at times. XD
Impulsive or Cautious?: I can be both, but more impulsive, and it's my downfall sometimes.
Outgoing or Shy?: Shy. I freeze up around strangers, even if my true nature is pretty loud.
Music Talk
Which genres of music do you tend to prefer?: I love love love jPop, jRock, things like that. Right now, that's mostly what I listen to. Other than that, my main love is alternative/rock music. I also really like world, classical, and kind of new age stuff. My music loves are really diverse! XD
What kind of vocals do you tend to like in your songs?: I prefer people with a little depth, and that they can carry a note.
Do you like faster songs, or ones that are more ballad-like for the most part?: Really depends on my mood. At this current time in my life, I prefer faster songs, but I still really love good ballads. The only thing about slow songs is that I have to really like them, otherwise it's gets kind of old and repetitive.
Imagine having your very own soundtrack. What five songs that you're familiar with could you see being on the track list (please don't include any Naruto songs in this list!)? Feel free to add lyric snippets or reasoning behind WHY you'd list the following songs if you want to:
1. Kingyo Hanabi - Otsuka Ai natsu no nioi ame no naka de (the scent of summer in the rain)
potapota ochiru kingyo hanabi (the goldfish fireworks trickling down)
hikari de me ga kurande (I was blinded by the light)
isshun utsuru wa anata no yuugao (for a moment, I can see your gentle face)
Not only is this a beautiful piano piece, it's such a moving song. It's soft, and I love singing it to myself. (Proudly, it's the only Japanese song I can sing all of without stumbling over myself! XD) However, for some reason I like this song better when she preforms it live (like at the ai am BEST 2007 Tour).
2. Hide & Seek - Amuro Namie wah hit the floor "bang, bang"
ashimoto "bounce, bounce"
it's time to bang, bang, bang your head
ow kidzukeba dandan yami tsuki "bounce, bounce"
it's time to bang, bang, bang your head
you wanna catch me (hide & seek)
you wanna catch me (hide & seek)
kanari crazy (hide & seek)
this is another level
if you wanna get the real thrill
saa let's play kakurenbo
boy you gonna try to find me
This song is really addictive. It's so catchy and gets stuck in my head all the time. It's really fun to dance to and sing. It's got a kind of attitude that I really like.
3. Eternal - EvanescenceI find this song incredibly beautiful, and I love love love playing it on the piano. It's very melodious, and I like listening to it when I'm feeling thoughtful or something. I doesn't have any lyrics, just piano and synth. And the lightning recordings are a cool touch, too.
4. Weeeek - NEWS ashita kara mata nichi getsu ka (from tomorrow, it's back to sunday, monday, tuesday)
hora sui moku mawatte kin do (look, after wednesday and thursday come around, friday)
nichi you (saturday, sunday)
yume no hibi wo daijini ikimashou (let's cherish these days of our dreams)
mou iccho (one more time)
ashita kara mata nichi getsu ka (from tomorrow, it's back to sunday, monday, tuesday)
hora sui moku mawatte kin do (look, after wednesday and thursday come around, friday)
nichi you (saturday, sunday)
bokura hibi wo tanoshinde ikitekou (let's enjoy ourselves in these days that belong to us)
saa ikuzo (come on, let's go)
Ha! This is the most listened to song in my iTunes library, at over 120 times or something. XD I love love love these guys to bits, and this song has a way of really cheering me up sometimes.
5. So Cold - Breaking Benjamin if you find your family, don't you cry
in this land of make believe, dead and dry
you're so cold, but you feel alive
lay your hands on me one last time
This was the first BB song I ever listened to (I was introduced to the band by
Fang. Thank youu~), and the first song to hit over 100 counts in my iTunes library! XD It's actually quite a bit softer, in my opinion, than most of BB's songs, which is one of the reasons I love it. The lyrics really get to me and I love Ben's voice.
List five of your favorite musical artists:
(In no particular order...)
1. Amuro Namie
2. Evanescence
3. NEWS
4. Breaking Benjamin
5. Otsuka Ai
What's your favorite theme song from Naruto thus far (please note: the answer to this question isn’t an indication of what YOUR theme song from Naruto would be but has more to do with your musical preferences)?: GO!! by FLOW
This was on a CD my friend asked me to make for her, and I've been listening to the song ever since. I find it uplifting, in some sense, and sometimes it's even kind of comical.
And your least favorite?: "Kanashimi o Yasashisa ni" by little by little
Since I had to pick one, I chose this one, for various reasons, but mainly...her voice annoys me.
Does your music preferences change depending on your mood? And if so, how?: Totally. I listen to heavy dance and hip-pop music, to wake me up. I listen to heavy metal and rock when I'm annoyed and need to block people out. Usually, when I listen to one song I haven't for a while, I put it on repeat, and end up listening to the whole CD or something...
Do lyrics necessarily have to make a lot of sense, or is that not as important so long as a song has an amazing beat?: I usually pick a song I like based on rhythm, but once I get ahold of the lyrics, it makes the song even more worthwhile for me.
If you were in a band...what instrument or role would you like to play in it?: I don't know, I already play piano and drums, so one of those, I guess?
Anything else?: Nope! ^-^ Thank you for reading this.
