found one ghetto kitten. he's very cute, about uhhm, 12 weeks old? i'm not very good at aging kittens. he's going into work with me tomorrow to get felv/fiv tested, dewormed, etc. we're going to foster him until we find him a permanent home so put your feelers out! he's tabby looking but with the big circles instead of stripes, it's actually very ( Read more... ) -

notes on swing
so i just worked my first swing shift (not a regular thing, just covering for a coworker - who is attending the gay rodeo, which katie and i decided is the best.excuse.evAR) and it was okay! i had some annoying patients... which included two dogs with separation anxiety. one of whom was cool as long as he wasn't in a cage. he's a saint bernard, ( Read more... ) -
thursday is the new hump day
phew tired. i seem to have a problem going to bed at a reasonable hour this week. this makes the whole being at work at 7am thing kind of hard. booooooo. on the up side, my schedule has been totally reasonable this week - 11 hrs, 10 hrs, 10 hrs, though i am probably jinxing myself by mentioning that. tomorrow being a friday, and us only having ( Read more... ) -
long week
wow. this week was super long. i had some exceptionally trying patients at work... mostly this one dog, a jack russel, who was totally neurologic, paddling and flailing and thrashing and crying for about 2.5 days. the owners wouldn't put her to sleep, finally ended up doing a CT, which they didn't really have money for, and then took her home...
