Con Report. And only 2 weeks late....
Okay. So this is just going to be a half assed con report for anyone who is interested.
Wednesday, July 19th, 2006
We got to San Diego, found our hotel, then went to the convention center to pick up our badges. Prior, we had driven from Anahiem back to my place [Upland] to get Mel's ID, because the form CLEARLY states that one needs their ID to recieve their badge. They make it sound like you won't get your badge without one. SO, we went 30-60 minutes out of our way back to my place to get Mel's ID, and then we get there and they DON'T EVEN CHECK THE DAMN BADGES! WHAT?! WHAT?! Shannon was like "I'm going to make her check MY ID!". Then I saw all these lines. I wanted to stand in them to see where they led, but I was apparently the only one, because everyone else wanted to leave. So I was like...FINE..except less whiney. So we left since Erik didn't want to get towed anyway, and went to the hotel where Danny had checked in for us and it was FRIGGIN NICE..

After a while we went to the airport to pick up blix. As Mel had warned, she snuck up on us. HARDCORE. Mostly she snuck up on Mel, then I was pummeled with the love as well. blix was introduced to Shannon and Erik and we all went to Taco Bell for dinner. There we met a very disagreeable booth, which had very low, hard seats, sneaking up on every person present. blix tried my Baja Mt. Dew. Very skeptical about it she was! Then we went back to the hotel and went swimming. Well, everyone but Blix and I went swimming. I was the ball mediator anyway. My role was of the utmost importance. Then back to the room for some ZZZ's.
Thursday, July 20th, 2006-Shannon's Birthday
We left early, because Danny wanted to take us all to some place for breakfast. The gang of us meet him at his place, and then we walk to town to go to the restaurant, which ends up being close, sending us straight to Denny's. Danny was not pleased, but he did not protest much. Shannon and I texted each other over breakfast, like silly little weasels. Thus, the gang got to hear a batman theme/under the sea medley. All enjoyed. Then to the con!
We went in, and we were totally overwhelmed. Like..we were all just *jaw drops* And flipping out with excitement too. That was a major part of the first day. We scattered. Mel got seperated from the group within minutes, and Shannon and Erik split and left me and blix to wander. We basically just walked around stunned and hyper. It was not so bad. I bought stuff. Hypered out. blix remained calm and silent. She met up with Yates for a bit, then we went to a panel..I think. I don't remember. Oh no, I split to the batman panel and she went to some other one. There was a batman panel that consisted of a bunch of old men, speaking of the good ole days of Batman comics, and how the creator was somewhat of an ass. But I don't care how much of an ass he was since he created my all time favourite superhero. MAD PROPS.

We left the con at like 5 or 6. Around that time, Kelly [hate hate hate] started some drama about the hotel rooms and Sea World. I won't go into it heavy, it will get me all riled up. But basically, I have MORE reason to hate Kelly now, and I hope she dies. And I won't feel bad if she does. I WON'T. Whatever, I'm a bad and evil person, so sue me. Most of you knew this right? And I know Shannon would be sad, but with all the stress Kelly causes her, she'll be better off in the long run. Kelly is selfish, close-minded, and braindead, and isn't satisfied until there is drama about. BUT BLAH, anyway. And Shannon, I apologize again because I couldn't hold my tongue during the trip, and I knew it was not helping you, but I couldn't help it, and I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to bother you. ♥ Shannon waited for Andrew and the rest of us went to the hotel to get ready for Shannon's fancy-shmancy dinner.
So the place we went to was..George's on Fifth, in the gas lamp district of San Diego. REALLY HELLA FANCY. We had our own private room, and there were old guns in there, and pictures, probably with holes in the eyes for a-spyin'! And we all found out what heathens we were when Danny had to coach us on the proper dining ettiquette. And then the food came and Shannon put asparagus right in my hand, and man, that beat all. Then blix got sick from her food later, and I switched steaks with Shannon, and ate her mashed potatoes. And we all had a really good time, I think. That is what I remember so that is what I says. Andrew and I stole the flowers for Shannon, and Andrew hid them in his sleeves, and the waiter..dude, KNEW IT, and he went to shake his hand before HE left, no one elses. I just bolted out the door laughing because I was sneakier and awesome. Then we went back to the hotel for sleeping. Andrew slept in the kitchen on my matress. That is all.

Um...woke up early I think, because Andrew is a nazi..no wait. He left before us...oh yeah, to swim! blix, Mel, Shannon and I went to the pool to swim in the morning. Not as fun as night time swimming. Sun sucks. Boo. but it worked. My suit did not SUIT my needs [ok kill me for the pun] as the shirt part kept just..floating UP...not pleasant. Luckily the boobies part stayed in place...haha. BOOBIES! Anyway, then we were all hungry, so after we dried off and/or showered, we went to Marvelous Muffins which was very tiny, and lacking muffins oddly enough. More doughnut type things than muffins. OH WELL. I got me a tasty apple fritter, and then we all went to the con where we met up with Andrew, then we all split up again.
BUT NOT BEFORE I MET FLIPPING V FROM V FOR VENDETTA!
Sure he wasn't the real one, but FLIPPIN V!
And somehow later on, I ended up by myself, but then I met up with Shannon and Andrew, and that day for a while, Shannon was dressed as FUU from Samurai Champloo.
She didn't do her hair up, because she had BETTER THINGS TO DO YOU NINNIES THAT NITPICK! But she got some compliments.
We walked around and went to the DayfreePress booth because I wanted Some Questionable Content stuff. I got a bear shirt and some buttons..and A FREE FLIPPIN SKETCH BITCHES!!!

Anyway, we went pee, [IN THE TOILETS] and then when we came out we met CATWOMAN And then the rest of the old school batman crew showed up. PHOTO OPS UP THE POOTER!

And then we went to get food, and met up with Andrew again.
Andrew and his weiner...AHAHA i never get tired of that.
Shannon and I shared a pizza, which was nauseating, but I was hungry and ate the mofo like it was PURE UNADULTERATED AWESOME. Then we went back over to the Dayfree Press booth.
Shannon and I kinda hovered at the White Ninja table, and I finally decided to buy the comics.
White Ninja dudes were effin hot, I'm telling you man. HOT! Canadian boys<333
HEY, that is Shannon's arm, she gave them their own business card WHICH WAS FREE, to draw her something on. Of course, earlier, she had purchased a shirt. I"m pretty sure the White Ninja dudes felt like we were stalking them that day. If only they remembered us. *hearty eyes*
I bought some comics, and they drew me a White Ninja lobster on it. And signed it. Shannon and I struck up a deal then and there that she could come over and look at my comics any time, but she can't touch them. bwahahahaha.
Anyway, I don't remember much else. We met up with the rest of our group and went back to the hotel and got ready because HOLY HELL WE SAW MUSE. PRetty flippin awesome concert. THE SWEATIEST EVER even. People were all up in our stuff, and we were just dancing. I'm sorry there are not pictures from the show, but I didn't know if cameras were allowed, and didn't want to risk having to check mine or take it back to the car, not knowing how small Soma was. Its tiny. Right next to a black angus. A really crappy show arena, but whatever. MUSE WAS FLIPPIN AWESOME! Of course, blix blacked out before they were even on stage, not that I knew this, she had left to get some air, and we didn't see her again till the show was over. Mel left too and was sick, but I don't think she passed out. :o 3: Bad bananas man.
So we got back to the hotel around..1am? Or maybe it was 11. or 12. There was a one somewhere in there. We pretty much passed out since the show was so exhausting. ROCKIN OUT HARDCORE WILL DO THAT TO YOU!

Blah, Andrew woke us up early so he could drop Mel and me off at the station to meet up with my Dad and others to go to the zoo, while everyone else got to go to the convention. Sadness. I didn't realize it would be an all day thing, and it totally was. But I had a pretty good time anyway. But I missed out on some stuff. 3:
Dad, Heather, Gabe and Steve met Mel and me at the Station, then we took a trolley and then a bus to the San Diego Zoo. BEST ZOO EVER. dammit!

Giraffe's are nature's silent assassin! This one is taunting us in for a kill. Clever giraffe, but not clever ENOUGH! bwahahahaha!
Gabe freaked out on the skyfari...haha. Nerd. Somehow temporarily forgot he was afraid of heights. DOOF! :D
I'm too lazy to post more, there are TONS of animal shots. Go here for the rest of them.
And then Danny, Shannon, and Andrew picked us up at the zoo, and we were supposed to go see a movie, but it wasn't showing, so we went back to the hotel, and Danny left, so me, Shannon, Mel and Andrew went swimming. Much more fun since the sun was setting, and not so vicious. Though my suit still gave me guff. But I showed it a thing or two about manners. We played some volleyball, then Andrew jumped into a child's intertube. Great times.
Got back to the room, ordered Underworld: Evolution, and ate subway [bleh]. I was actually feeling really crummy that night. Somehow my mood had shifted into STINKERSVILLE, and I was kinda just wanting to cry a lot. I went to bed before everyone. I met Shannon's friend Kassie and her boyfriend Mike. Good folks. blix was MIA with Yates the whole day. But she ended up there the next morning. So whatever!

Omg my hands are tired. Almost done!
Everyone was grouchy, and didn't want to go to the con, but they ARE SO LUCKY THEY DID, because they had fun. We weren't even going to go, but I missed out on everything all day Saturday, and was kind of sad about it. I'm glad we went, I got to get some copics and some more comics. I FLIPPED OUT ON THE COMICS! SOOOO AWESOME! yay! It was total BANK. Shannon and I were off on our own, and she ended up getting some cool figurines she had wanted. I think we all left around 2 or 3. Back to Shannon's. I slept in the car most of the trip back. And that was con! yay.
Andrew is a dainty man.
Shannon stood on the hotel's roof before we left. I'm so sad we didn't get to play out the whole scene. SO SAD.

Mel, blix and me. I kind of now wish that I had taken 2 minutes to put on some make up because I looked like such crap that day. DON'T REMEMBER ME LIKE THAT!
blix met Gail Simmone. She was pretty neat. I need to read the comic that blix showed me. birds of prey..I think. ANYWAY..

ON an entirely seperate note, I recently purchased Mr. Beast, and it was SO worth it. I love it to death. WEEE <3
