This was a response in a thread about nationalized health care. I think it pretty well sums up all of my political beliefs. It was asked how much would be reasonable to save a drowning man in the pacific, and the response was "any amount, even 10M". The following quote was a response to that, and then my amendment to his statement. I modified ( Read more... )

I completely agree. However what happens if said people who are best at said value takes advantage of the power allocated to them?

As you said, the problem really is that resources are limited and will always be limited.

In the end, I'm all for capitalism but if not checked and regulated just right, it can cause damage.

how does one go about overpricing healthcare? Don't they deserve a lot of money for providing such an invaluable service to the community, a service that would not be available if not for them? If people are willing to pay the price, then how is it overpriced? It is obviously at least worth that much if they are willing to pay it. And if they don't want to pay it they can always go to a different health care provider ( ... )

When you pay a privatized health care person, your not paying for them to save your life, like when you pay a lawyer its not sane to pay them 600$ an hour to keep you out of jail. you work hard for much less. your paying these people for the time spent to have the ability to help you in these situations. You couldn't do it yourself, if you want to live they've worked for decades to provide you with a choice. Ninjahedge said all this, im just reimbursing the point because its so good.

I remember that voicemail! Man, I was so high. I am long sense done with college, but finding jobs is difficult. I was making a good amount of money for awhile, but then I had to move, and I've been unable to find a similar job in my new location. Right now I'm doing customer service for cingular. It blows.

So you're married? I guess that means I won't be fufilling my dreams of sodomizing you. Ah well, I've had enough escapades I suppose, and I'll be engaged soon enough myself. I've bought the ring, I'm just trying to set up a big something to go along with it.
