If ya don't like the weather in St. Louis, stick around a little while, it'll change! On Friday, the kids were off school because there were close to 6 inches of snow. Today? 74 degrees. WTF? Not that I'm complaining, mind you. I loooooove the warm days. It's just bizarre to get out the snowpants one day and be looking for shorts 3 days

You know, when Margaret first wakes up in the morning, and stretches, and scruches up her face......she looks EXACTLY the same as she did when she was a newborn. Things like that keep me from doing unspeakable things to her when she's acting like a nut later in the day.

FYI, natural crunchy peanut butter makes a very nice exfoilant. Smeared a bit on my palm, in the latest attempt at taming the mice. Once they had eaten their fill, I went to wash off the remainder. Oooh, scrubby! My hands are nice and soft now. :D

Aidan began demanding....something. Apparently could not produce more words to express what he wanted than "ball please! PLEASE! BALL!" I finally figure out what he wants, get it for him, and he spits out, clear as day, "You did it! Nice going!" Where were all those words a minute ago, man? LOL

I love holiday leftovers. This afternoon, I ate a bowl of broccoli casserole and a piece of chocolate cherry cake, and called it lunch. Dinner will be a ham sandwich and 7 layer salad. Good stuff, good stuff. I can cook once and eat for days.

Christmas over here wasn't as sucky as I thought it would be. Yay. The much dreaded IL visit went reasonably well. Maybe because I spent most of the time in the basement with the kids, and avoided the adults, but still. Not bad. The kids definitely had a fantastic time.
