Karl Rove Resigns.

One must wonder, is this a pathetic attempt to save his career and reputation before the democrats really have their way with him during the elections, or is it just because the neocons wanted to reshape the appearance of the white house?

Ollie North testified...after he left the White House. I could see the same happening with Rover. Since he's no longer in a vital "advisory role of the executive", I would argue that he's more likely to be yanked into court.

Plus, I hope the Judiciary committee finds that asshat in contempt of Congress.

I think it's more the latter--the Repube-lickin's know that they can't win the next election with the current approval ratings so they need to make big changes on the surface. But he's probably been paid enough bonuses to coast for a while and work underground for them; the Repubes would be lost without him as a strategist.
