I would have like to see that happening. All of it: Kara not dying, Lee realizing staying with Dee didn't change anything and finally divorcing, Lee admitting his feelings to Kara ("I have no expectations here" - great line), Kara divorcing Sam. And the banter in the end ( " I was never a Colonial Scout")... so them - always a little humor to difuse the tension. Thanks for sharing it with us. :)
Thanks! Sometimes I feel like I've gone a little goofy with lines like the Colonial Scout business, but they DID tend to get a little silly (not even counting "packed it in to go pack").
V v beautiful and emotional truthful to the moment. Especially given that Kara didn't have to die to remember her father's music, this was so poignant. Thank you for having Kara be a bamf who takes charge of her own destiny, even in a fragile emotional state. And Lee - not a Colonial Scout - lolz. *smushes pilots together*

Thanks! I've had this story stuck in my head a while, so it was good to finally get it out.

I really would have enjoyed seeing this. Kara hearing Lee's pleas almost at the end. And then they talked. YAY!!!!
And the banter at the end is WIN!:)
