your perception of what girls do and do not respond to is too superficial, it's more technical than that

also, girls don't respond to guy friends because they've already accomplished being in favor with somebody. it happens effortlessly and they gain no sense of accomplishment or improved self-image from it. for girls that are not desperate for affection, this feeling is a necessity

you go after the wrong girls. the reason why the girls you treat so great are attracted to assholes is because thats what they deserve. you need to find a girl that deserves you and then she will love you(and be your girlfriend) for the great guy you are. the trouble is not many girls are worthy of you.
