Look Out Assholes

So, my work day was frustrating purely because I found out that insurance scarcely pays 1/5 of any given person's medical bills... at BEST. WTF?! So I have made a shitlist of things to change before I die. Be warned, people that fall under these categories. I'm raising hell when I get out of college... just for you ( Read more... )

That's not completely true. I can tell you that it all depends on what insurance you have and what you're using it for. I know ours pays for a good portion of medical bills typically(I believe our copay is something like $10 a visit to a doctor). And I know that while our insurance wouldn't cover cosmetic surgery, it will cover a good portion of my lasik (laser eye surgery that will happen sometime eventually hopefully soon) because I am legally blind (yea, I found that out recently. Makes me feel all proud and stuff.)

I also know that the insurance plan that my cousin's mother has, because of her work, is fantastic. They don't have to pay anything for mail-order perscriptions and their copay for typical doctor visits is $5. They also live in Pennsylvania.

Yea, insurance is a tricky beast.

Wow, good deal. What insurance plan is this? I may recommend it to other people...

Not completely true, but most people who walk into my employer's office end up paying about 3/4 of their treatment.

That's what my aunt gets through her work. She works for a newspaper in PA, I doubt you'll be able to reconmend it to people.

Well, those people have crappy insurance plans then :P

Um, if by American Patriotism you actually meant flag-waving rednecks, then okay! But if you mean true American Patriotism, like feeling as if America is the only country for you, that it's HOME, after you feel completely alienated in a different country, then no, sorry, I disagree.

i'd say patriotism is a good thing in the hands of educated people, and perhaps even in the hands of uneducated people. Think democratic republic and liberty and other such ideals.

Well yes, because they have a tendency to want to strip my rights. This list is all the things that I plan on changing when I get older. I don't specifically hate them or anything. I just want to attempt to make things better. If I were railing against them, you wouldn't be seeing this entry.

*shrugs* I recognize I'm nothing better than they are. At least I'm doing something to make things better as opposed to making things worse, neh?
