There absolutely is a way to turn your entire journal friends only oin one fell swoop.I did this a couple years ago and manually turn any public entries public after I post. I had found it in the FAQ on the LJ site, but I see now that they say it can't be done. Hrm...if I find out what I did I will post!!

No, it was a change to my LJ code directly, just using the console. It was in the LJ FAQ back when I did it, but maybe the code changed and it isn't possible any more. It was adding one line of code, and it changed everything.
