Title: Diagnoses
Pairings: Ian/Anthony
Ratings/Warnings:
Summary: Ian finds out the worst possible news.
Author's Notes: Hey guys! I've not been on ages because of computer problems and school but I'm finally back! :D (not that you care or anything :P) I'm sorry if it's terrible, I've not wrote in ages and I've never tried angst before. Oh well ^.^
It's 2:23pm when the doctor finally returns into the room. He delivers the bad news with a sympathetic look. Ian stops listening, the white walls and ceiling feels to restricting, as if they are closing in on him. He can't stand it. He can't stand the sight of Anthony, the way the tears surge down his face. He can't stand the feeling of the shaky arm wrapped around his shoulders. A voice buzzes on in the background. It's too much.
3 months, that's all he has. It's not enough. Images flash across his mind, all the things he wished he could do, but never could. He saw Anthony down on one knee, a look of pure admiration stretched across his face. He saw him in a suit while the danced across the reception hall, sharing their special day together. Finally, he saw a little baby girl in his boyfriend's arms. This was the image that hurt the most. Anthony would move on after he passed. He would find someone else and share the joy of a family without him. With that devastating thought in his head, he broke down. Distantly, he can feel the darker haired boy bury his face in his shoulder and pull him closer, murmuring comforting words between his own sobs.
"It'll be okay Ian. You won't leave me, you never would."
Ian wished with all his heart that that was true.
