I meant to save this for the weekend but I took a peek and then I couldn't stop reading. I love the AU already and the heartbreak and angst radiating between Shun and Uki is making me nuts. Yes, because I want to know WTF happened to break them apart so neatly but also because STOP IT, STOP IT RIGHT NOW and go back to being inseparable already! =\ Seriously, tho, I love everything so far and I'm hooked. Off to read the second part now!
Hehe, I'm so glad to hear that! The angst did take a lot of work, so it's good to know it's effective XD
I swear you'll find out eventually what happened! And I hope you'll be happy to know that the whole thing is littered with flashbacks where they are inseparable and adorable, so there's some sweet along with the bitter.
Yay! I finally made it over here, and I'm not disappointed. First off, let me say that at one point I was quite addicted to westerns, so I was sort of happy to hear that you two were writing this.
I really love the way this story has been set up - the older man and the kid coming to look for help, the saloon, the old secrets hanging in every corner - and I love the overall feeling that I got when reading it. Looking forward to the next chapter, as well (whenever I actually have time to read it)!
I was going to let spiky answer this, since she's friends with you, but I haven't heard from her in a day or two, so I just thought I'd say I'm thrilled you like it so far :D. I was happy to see the name of a RenIchi author I knew in the comments, because I really didn't think many of spiky's friends would have any interest in this ^^;;. There'll be actual RenIchi in Book 2! I promise!! xD
Anyway, um. I'm really glad you like the way it was set up, and I hope you continue to enjoy it :) And that life will give you time to read it!
