It has been a fuckin' whirlwind month. Almost none of it good. I very nearly killed myself at the beginning of January. I just woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and didn't recognize myself at all. I couldn't attach any sort of identity to who was staring back at me, and it freaked me out. I spent two days in the darkness of my apartment ( Read more... )

Dude!

I'm sorry I haven't been writing. I've been ridiculously busy, and my e-mail was fucked up for a little while, and I sort of fell out of the habit.

I wish you were here! Yesterday I found a place that does wushu lessons twice a week for $50 a month (just over half what we were spending on gymnastics class), and a fucking AWESOME site to film fight scenes at. I just posted about that in my journal.

If things get shitty in Fairbanks again, you'd be more than welcome to come hang out with me here for a while. So, just keep in mind it's an option.

Have you seen the sequel to "The Angry Chicken" on le-parkour.com? "The Scary Cat?" How about the new Teen Girl Squad? Did you watch the remixed Singing In The Rain commercial I posted? Have you heard about Ong Bak, from that guy who's supposed to be the Southeast Asian Jackie Chan, only more inventive?

So yeah, I might come visit soon, now that I'm able to save some cash. I DEFINITELY will need a sunny vacation here soon.

I have seen "The Scary Cat", but I haven't been able to check out the new Teen Girl Squads because the computer here sucks goat scrotum (that statement is funnier when you realize that we do have goats here). Same with the Singing in the Rain commercial, which I've been trying to watch from various sources for that last few weeks.

I've only heard a few things about Ong Bak on Zero Gravity's website. I've been looking for some clips, but to no avail. I might just import some stuff, since I have lots of time to watch movies out here.
