I need some help.

Went to see the doctor today and he said he'd be able to squeeze me in for surgery on Monday. I'll be out of commission for at least three days.

I need a new TV series to watch on DVD. Any suggestions?

I don't usually watch TV anymore so most things i haven't seen. As of right now, I'm leaning towards Lost, but I'm wary because ( Read more... )

I've watched nip/tuck up until this last season. My ex tried to get me into it, but i just didn't enjoy it as much as she did.

I refuse to watch House only because everyone (pretty much just my friend Mark) loves it way too much. Which doesn't make sense at all, because we have exactly the same taste in TV show addictions. I would probably enjoy it too much, and i can't let that happen.

I'm slowly just now realizing that i tend to stay away from medical stuff. I guess i just get too easily burned out on it? I don't know why.

i think you would love House. i enjoy it a lot and it's really interesting medical stuff not boring, stereotypical things.

of the not still on air persuasion, I would recommend Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me, Freaks and Geeks, and Undeclared. They're each one season except Dead Like Me which is two. Oh! Arrested Development too. That one's three seasons.

I also really really recommend Weeds although it's still on air. It's too good not to watch.

Also, when my ex had a hernia surgery he was out of commission for more like three weeks rather than three days. Then again, he had his hernia for a good two years before he got the surgery, so it was probably a more extreme case.

I've seen Freaks and Geeks, and I own Arrested Development. How long are Dead Like Me episodes? Half hour or an hour? I have serious time to kill.

Another friend suggested Weeds and I'm sure I'd like it, but that's more a comedy isn't it? I have a hernia so laughing isn't really... a painless pleasure. I don't get whichever network carries Weeds (Showtime?), so otherwise that'd be ok.

The three days thing is only my suggested limitation before i can freely move from a bed/couch/chair and not want to kill myself. I'll definitely be feeble for another week or so. But I'm tough like an ox, I oughta bounce back better than any average statistic.

The Wire is the best show on television, hands down. You can bittorrent the whole thing and it will take up your entire time under the weather.

The first five seasons of 24 are also great. It's a good choice because the first season is the best, and very easy to access and get addicted to.

The first season of Deadwood is also amazing.

Rescue Me is a fantastic show, though it recently had a pretty boring season. Also very easy to slide into.

And The Sopranos? Like, it's almost silly to suggest because at this point it seems like you've seen it or you hate it. And it is a very difficult show - early on at least - to hate.

Pushing Daisies is a fun new show, as is Chuck.

It upsets me that you ask your internet before you ask me. This is what I do.

I guess I'm late but if you haven't seen Carnivale...so so. Dead Like Me too. Wonderfalls. Ugly Betty, but I'm not sure if you're like that. Weeds is the best show ever. That's always good. Scrubs, of course, but you've probably watched all that already or hate it (I don't know you THAT well). How's that for entertainment?
