I think you are a fantastic guy-able to woo most girls. But that's beside the point. I do agree that today, candlelight dinners and a bed of roses are considered to be very romantic and a sure sign that you love that person. And as sweet and thoughtful as that is, it's not every girls idea of romance/love. To me, knowing that someone loves you in not only by them telling you, but by their actions; the way they look at you, you can tell it in their eyes. It's also just the little things-it doesnt have to be some fancy dinner. Opening the door for you, watching your favorite movie, knowing all of your little quirks and favorite things. I dunno, I'm old fashion, but thats just me.

You think you know romance then, but do you? ambientfolktale June 19 2004, 23:21:25 UTC
Maybe you don't know what real romance is then. Just go with it... I don't think romance should be planned. That's what makes it superficial.

you don't need to show your love... just feel it, darlin'. You'll eventually find a girl that you don't need to say the most amazing truthful things to; she'll just know.

i've looked at love from both sides now ninjaturtle June 20 2004, 00:31:15 UTC
No no, you've got me all wrong.

They way you think i should be is the way i am. I've had love without words. I've had the compound feelings that need no expression. It's been done. I did it because i realize that romance tends to ruin things. So i wasn't romantic at all, and it was fantastic. But now i miss romance. I'm switching from romance to silence back to romance. The silent meaningful love was good, but i want both. I want to able to say nothing to a girl for two months and have her know i care, then i have a romantic night out of the blue, and have her know i care the same as i always have, then two more months of nothing.

What i'm saying is that i'm tired of the romantic type of love screwing over the simple side of love.

Sidenote: please don't comment on the faggoty Joni Mitchell title, it works, that's all
