Sweep: Grab a cross-sleeve grip + a same-side elbow grip. Break the opponent's posture with one's legs while pulling the elbow out and up. While in z-guard, one's top hand acquires a cross-sleeve grip and one's bottom hand gets the same-side grip on the opponent's near-side knee. Opponent hand must down by their side and under and across one's own hips. Use mirror hand to reach under that side of their body to grab their collar. Insert thumb of other hand into cross lapel and cut down across throat with forearm

BJJ Learning: Snap down
Hand in neck and hand on inside of opposite bicep. neck opposite foot steps out while other foot steps back. neck hand switched to chin grip and other hand switches to tricep control.
Thread tricep hand in under shoulder and into armpit onto back/lat. Rotate one's body to that side and drive opp bent down and sideways

Childhood Home
Via the miracle that is the internet, I discovered some data about the home I grew up in. Evidently, my family was the first buyer in 1985 and sold it for $215K in 2003. It was only 1275 square feet 3BD/1.5BA on 12.7K square feet or 0.29 acres. It's weird to think that I'm looking at condos now around that size and they feel smallish when I recall ( Read more... )
