I was very surprised to see Snape as the Half-Blood Prince. I never imaged that. But I'm sad that the rumours that were flying around where true. That it was indeed Dumbledore to die. Snape killing Dumbledore.
I was shocked to read about the murders of Amelia Bones and Emmeline Vance, but when Dumbledore died I had to cry. I suppose my book now is accompanied by some teardrops. Then there was the new Minister for Magic, the liony guy. Never thought of him. He was mentioned once before in the books although I can't pinpoint it. CoS more likely.
We met a boy named Blaise Zabini. Just wondering now whether he is black or has black hair?
Shipwise. Ron/Lavender was interesting. Ron/Romilda was hilarious, Harry/Ginny shippers are having a field day. Remus/Tonks loved it. Bill/Fleur, well anyone could have guessed that.
Then we have the new DE called Draco Malfoy. Set to kill Dumbledore on Voldemorts orders. And thanks to Narcissa with Snape's help. Stupid Unbreakable vow.
For my characters it seems as though Padma left the building before breakfast after Dumbledore was killed. And the rest of them weren't mentioned at all.
But the Horcruxes... I have to admit that truly is something. The fake one Dumbledore and Harry collected. The note on it. It said R.A.B. I think I know who it is. It seems so simple. We have to look for a person in the books that is dead and has the initials R. A. B. Lets forget the A... That leasves: R. B. There is only one person I know of that fulfills both requirements: Regulus Black!
But with Dumbledore so dies the Secret Keeper of the Order, so dies the only other person that heard the Propehecy in totality. And with it Harry has found himself strong and brave to live up to what people are expecting of 'The Chosen One'! To face Voldemort for the Final Battle in book seven.
My new neighbour was impressed by me reading the HBP in English. I'm more impressed with me being able to finish it in about 13 hours. I'm reading faster by the day it seems.
