Apparently the sad case of our missing broadband connection is now with a "specialist back room team" at BT. I expect them to parachute into our back room any minute now ( Read more... )

I'm with BE broadband (they do unlimited adsl 2+ with a 1:1 contention ratio) and we've been pretty happy with them.

Thanks for the recommendation! As much as I wish to ditch BT, I don't think it's a terribly good idea at the moment. Their interest to sort out the mess in their system in order to give over the line to another provider is unlikely to be any bigger than it is now where they still have me as a customer. I'll consider it though if this drags much longer or if their service turns out to be ropey one I finally get it.

O good god they still don't have it fixed yet? I might be time to use one of your corsets as a sling shot, and go all billy the kid on someone.

As long as they don't misjudge and parachute through your dining room roof just as you're enjoying a glass of superior vin rouge! On changing broadband supplier: I occasionally get phone calls or knocks at the door by persons trying to persuade me that I would benefit from their superior service. The last one from Sky (perhaps they also employ parachutists) couldn't seem to get it when I explained that changing would almost inevitably cause a major problem with my ability to get a connection.

Yeap I can just imagine them dropping through the roof - I think our dining room is in more danger from M's grape vines!

What is your icon btw?
