Power cord question

I'm currently living in Korea, but I'm from America. My parents are visiting me next week and bringing my Wii with them. My Wii is an American Wii, and since the voltage is higher here in Korea, I know my American power cord won't work

I'm talking about buying a Korean power cord and plugging that in instead of using an American power cord. I did that with my DS and it works fine, so I was wondering if I could do the same with my Wii.

I can see your point, but I don't know. If my American DS works okay with a Korean charger, then I just can't see why the Wii would be any different with a Korean power cord. But maybe I don't understand electronics well enough.
