As promised, here's the list of the American Library Association's 100 Most Frequently Banned Books of 1990-2000 and ( the ones I've read in bold )

The link that I meant (which was way too long to post in the, er, post) just talked about how they compiled the list from newspapers articles and reports from libraries of people requesting the bans. They didn't mention why each book specifically was banned, tho I think I've seen that sort of compiled list elsewhere...

40. What’s Happening to my Body? Book for Girls: A Growing-Up Guide for Parents & Daughters by Lynda Madaras

i was about 11 and i found it utterly fascinating. i still have it even because it was a "growing up" journal of sorts and i wrote things in it here and there. i figure one day i will laugh my ass off when i go back to read it. today is not that day, though...i mean when i'm really old. like 45.
