Why is my dad keeping his beer in the crisper, with the carrots?

I used to do that too--but usually it was just convenient place to store the beer. I think I learned it from my mom---there were always rum/vodka bottles in the crisper at home so I guess I just carried on the tradition

we have a beer and pop crisper it seems...i'm not sure when or why it started, but there it is. the veggies get their own crisper. but then - i hate putting veggies in the crisper because i forget about them and then they are not so crisp whne i find them again.

I would ahve thought it's obvious. To keep the beer crisp.
