The gift of giving

After thinking about it a whole lot, I have a strong recommendation for the ultimate belated birthday gift. If anyone could manage getting me over to England to see David Tennant's Hamlet this August, it would be the best gift ever and you would most certainly become my "best friend forever" on a superficial level...which seems to work for people ( Read more... )

Happy Birthday! I've actually been wishing I were cool enough to road trip to London to see it myself for a long time. First: build a road to London... It's not just David Tennant, of course - it's also partially the fact that he's opposite Patrick Stewart as Claudius. :D

Ha! Sweeny Todd. Or the people who went to the Lord of the Rings not knowing it was a trilogy. Pity Johnny Depp can't really sing - although he pulled it off for the movie anyway, which was impressive. But he's no Angela Lansbury - er...Len Cairou :)

I hope you had a great birthday, and I'm really overjoyed to find you on livejournal! Now we are old and square! And tonight I get to go see Tartuffe at Shakespeare in the Park - although sadly without Jonathan Snipes in it (more's the pity). Be happy in all that you do!
