I got an antique spinning wheel! It is awesome! Lots of photos!
75$ off Craigslist AW YEAH.
Seems to have everything it needs except driveband and doohickey to hold the treadle to the footman (currently elegantly improvised with a pipe cleaner). Came with a great deal of filthy flax singles.

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted! In my defense, my computer has been working erratically. It seems to have had a power supply issue, I hope it's been resolved.
I went to see my mom and saw some ponies! I wanted to take one home but my mom refused to help me. And she has a minivan and everything.

what I saw today
Today on my way to visit a client, I drove through one of my favorite blocks in this town. It's a little residential block, sandwiched between an industrial area and a major road, with 8 or 10 houses, and it has 2 of the most beautiful yards I've seen.
