I'm a senior undergraduate math major and I'm currently studying things such as density of the reals in our real analysis class. Apparently, if you live in Japan, you study things like this in high school. Check out what I found on a math forum today

And if your curious, the set {m + nr: m and n are integers} is dense in the reals PRECISELY when r is an irrational number. Otherwise it's a no go on the density front.
