Leaving history was not a hard decision to make, nor was leaving acadamia in general. The truth is, I was pursuing my lofty goals (Phd) for all the wrong reasons. In short, I wanted the prestiege, noteriety, and perhaps most importantly, to beat out my two cousins in Milwaukee, one of which has her Masters and the other one is pursuing hers. Good for you, Mark. It really seems to be a good choice for you, and if you're happy with it, thats even better.

Have you thought about where you want to teach English? Will you be staying state-side, but teaching to exchange students, or do you want to go abroad and teach?

I wanna teach whereever I can, mostly in East Asia and Europe (Germany).
