I'm unsure about the Japanese history through film, mostly because of the teacher, but we shall see. I've had her before and she's a bit of an interesting case....
Honor societies are like special (rather elite) clubs that skilled or gifted students can join if they perform well academically (Phi Alpha Theta, for example, requires the student be a history major, have a 3.1 GPA in History classes, 3.1 GPA cumulative, an be in the top 35th percentile of the class). I doubt I will be able to get into one, but if I can, it's a nice thing to put on a resume.
Anyway, I'm off to see Fräulein Kondrat, I'm in Tacoma for a while, and she hasn't moved to DC yet, so we're meeting up for a bit before I head back to Bellingham and begin summer quarter.
